Images on Icing Sheets 

Our edible images are printed onto sheets of white sugar icing with edible inks - ready to place on your cakes, cupcakes or cookies. They are suitable for use on fondant, buttercream, whipped cream, ganache, icecream and royal icing, and are available in a range of sizes. If your image needs to be a specific size or unique shape, it can be easily trimmed with scissors or a sharp knife.

Sugar sheets are gluten free, nut free, egg free, vegan, Kosher and Halal approved.

Our high quality sugar sheets provide a much clearer image print compared to rice paper/wafer paper images.  It is essentially a very thin slice of sugar icing (similar to rolled fondant), initially supported by a plastic backing sheet which you peel away before applying to your cake.  Applying to your cake/cookie etc is easily done with a touch of water acting as the glue.  The sheet is flexible and can wrap around curves and corners extremely well.

If your image will not be fully supported by flat icing behind it - ie it's going on a fancy swirl of buttercream on your cupcakes, or you wish your image to stand up away from the cake - then we recommend backing it with gumpaste or fondant to create extra strength and thickness.

Our printed Edible Images last 6 months or more when kept in their plastic storage bag - store in a dry dark place (ie pantry cupboard) - not in the fridge. 

How to Order:

To order a custom edible image, simply email us at images@latorta.com.au - with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number (just in case we need to ask questions or your reply email is firewalled against spam). 
  • What size and shape would you like printed (see options below).    If your image or logo needs to be a specific size, please include the dimensions you would like it to be.
  • Any additional information - such as wording or message you wish us to add
  • Attach your picture (attachments are preferred over an image inserted amoungst the text of your email)
  • Day or time you need it printed by.  

Suitable formats for your image are .jpg .tif .gif and .png files.  We are able to work with Word, PowerPoint and PDF files too, so get creative and let's make it edible!!   You'll get greater results if you can choose an image that is at least 150kb in size - the higher quality the resolution, the higher quality your finished edible image will be.  However, please limit files to 10MB or smaller - if it's too big it may block our email system. 

Images will be available for collection from Latorta - Fyshwick Fresh Food Markets within 1-2 days. We will contact you by return email when your image is ready for collection.  Postage is also available for additional cost -  $13.95 (standard) or $19.95 (express) depending on size and weight of your order.

  • Round Image (6 inch, 7.5 inch or 8 inch - suits top of cakes) Pre-Cut - $20
  • Large Round Image (9 inch, 10 inch or 11 inch diameter) Pre-Cut - $35
  • A4 size - $20 
  • A3 size (great size for Costco slab cakes or for wrapping around entire tiers) - $35

*All prices include a maximum of 15 minutes set up (design editing) time.  Additional labour costs will apply if your order requires additional staff time to process (such as upgrading resolution, removing screenshot marks etc),
